Gerry Anderson’s ‘The Investigator’ was produced in 1973 as a pilot episode for a new series mixing live action and puppetry techniques, similar in approach to ‘The Secret Service.’
The programme follows the adventures of a boy and girl, John and Julie, who are miniaturised by a powerful being from another galaxy (the eponymous Investigator) and sent on a dangerous mission to stop a corrupt tycoon from stealing a priceless work of art.
The TV Series was never released was never commercially released but the pilot/first episode is available on DVD from http://www.gerryanderson.co.uk
