101 and 106 Thunderbird 4

DINKY THUNDERBIRD 4:

Thunderbird 4 came packaged with both the 101 and 106 Thunderbird 2 models. It was a simple one piece plastic moulding which was slightly too big for the 101 pod and was fiddly to get out but was a better fit for the 106 version.

TV PROP v ACTUAL DINKY:

Not a bad representation but it was not to scale however and in reality was far too big for its transporter T2.

Thunderbird 4 is usually launched at sea from Pod 4 carried by Thunderbird 2. In an emergency it can be launched directly from its base on Tracy Island.

VARIANTS:

There were 3 versions. The first with a large number ‘4’, the second with a smaller ‘4’ and finally towards the end of its production run, an unpainted version.
