111: Cinderella’s Coach

DINKY 111 CINDERELLA’S COACH (1976-78):

Cinderella’s coach was produced between 1976 and 1978. It was neither well made nor very popular. The model was made of plastic and the human figures were pink with some white detailing. This did not look like a Dinky Toy but appears to have been quickly and cheaply created to appeal to fans of the movie.

THE MOVIE: 

The Slipper and the Rose was a 1976 British musical film retelling the classic fairy tale of Cinderella.

The film was chosen as the Royal Command Performance motion picture selection for that year.

VARIATIONS:

There was a gold livery detail, replacing the green, horse version.

PRE-PRODUCTION AND COLOUR TRIAL:

A pink carriage variant was produced which was either a pre-production or a colour trial.
